new cd: Tinariwen "IMIDIWAN : Companions"

Tinariwens new cd "IMIDIWAN : Companions" [Independiente / Pias] will be released in Germany on 14th of august 2009. After a very successful US Tour the desert rockers from Mali will present their new stuff on 27th of june at Glastonbury Festival. On 4th of july Tinariwen will play Summerjam Festival in Cologne. The release tour in GAS / Eastern Europe will take place from 1st - 15th of november.

new CD: QUIVER // Kimmo Pohjonen's KTU

For KTU the finish accordion dervish Kimmo Pohjonen teams up with Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn of King Crimson. Their brand new album Quiver [ Wetpark  Indigo ] was released in Europe on march 13th and German press is already giving Quiver high praise (musikreviews.de / metal.de). The North American release date for Quiver is May 1.

Cryptic Folk meets Desert Blues

Following the success of their encounter in the studios of the BBC London, Tinariwen and the English experimental cryptic electro-folkies Tunng are going on tour in the UK in March.
Cryptic folk and dessert blues blend effortlessly together in this fluid set. Fragments of vocals, languages, riffs and melodies weave together, with transporting space and ease.      
Ibrahim, Eyadou and Said will be joining the Tunng crew for this 10 date jaunt.
